Pilot Weather gets posted on layovers

Another perk of international flying is the ability to save a few dollars on postage. (Yes, this is a typical cheap pilot story). Scott delegated me to send one Pilot Weather to Switzerland and another to South Africa. I sent Pilot Weather to London, England from Toronto and it cost $40 USD. Ouch! I tried sending these two books via USPS on my San Francisco layover, but postage came in at $55 per book. Another ouch!

My first time landing in Amsterdam, Holland (Netherlands). What a HUGE airport for a small country. It's the fourth busiest in Europe. Weather wise it was CAVOK.

Luckily, I found this post office doubling up as a shoe repair/luggage store in the Central train station because all the other post offices were closed Sunday.
